What kind of game is Aniimo
Aniimo is a free-to-play open-world creature-catching RPG set in Idyll, with real-time combat where you can take direct control of your Aniimo. It is online: progress saves to the server, and there is no manual save or difficulty setting. Up to four friends can share a world, platforms mix within a server, and the main story is solo. There is no ranked PvP, but Operation: Egg Heist pits teams against each other and the world.

What you actually do
You explore Idyll as a Pathfinder for the Polaris Institute, catch Aniimo with Aniipods, and build a party of four across five roles. Catching runs on a published formula, so Aniipods, the level gap, a target's HP and its status all matter.
Outside combat you nurture areas to trigger Prismana Flows, clear Sanctums, chase Alphas and Omegas, run a Homeland base with Aniimo as workers, and dip into Operation: Egg Heist.
